ABOUT: This is, of course, the "PLUS ONE" part of the THREE COVERS PLUS ONE release ... three Beatle songs (Let It Be, Girl, Cry Baby, Cry) plus one of my own (Jump Up).
Jump Up came at a I am tired of all the crap period and is a literal cry to "get the #!%$ off your butt and go do something". I had had it with whatever it was that I was doing and just said "screw it". My, my. Teenage angst in a well-past-teenager, and it came out as one of the bounciest and least angry songs I have ever written. Hmmm. It took a while for me to get this out, I won't even tell you how many years these releases have been brewing, but here they are at last! I hope you will enjoy this track. INSTRUMENT VOICING: These are all Roland voices from the JV-35: multiple tracks of piano, fretless bass and drums. A three piece band! Those Roland piano voices are so rich and full.
HARDWARE/SOFTWARE: Roland JV-35, Performa 6400 Mac, my friend MasterTracks Pro, a DBX gate, an Aphex Aurel Exciter, Tascam board, BIAS Peak software which I may never understand, M-Audio SOLO firewire interface and Garage Band to get the track out of MasterTracks, iTunes to convert it from AIFF to MP3. And Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS2 to build this page. Track photo taken by Peaches&Cream. Many thanks to all those whose hard work on these items made it possible for me to share this with you.
